Duncan: Duncan started preschool this month. He LOVES it!! He goes 3 1/2 days a week. He has made a couple of friends, but doesn't say much about school. They say that is normal at this age. He is in the 3,4,and 5 year old class.

We celebrated Grandpa Wes' 80th birthday over labor day. It was a good time, we went to mass on Saturday night at Onie's and then to the party at Grandpa's on Sunday. Jim, Bea, Ash, Greg, and Ian were all back. It was a good time. Grandpa enjoyed himself. We had a weenie roast, that is what he loves!!

Not much new with any of the kids! Dr. Owens and NICU check up, all is well!!


We went to the Iowa State Fair. What fun, we of course got lots of looks, and comments as well! We went on the first day of the fair, it was the twins, triplets and more contest. The babies got 4th in least look alike. I had them dressed alike, I didn't know what I was doing really! So anyway we will know for next year. The girls went with us, it is always nice to have the extra help! We went to the fair a couple more times also, we unloaded at Karen and Paul's camper and then I took the van and parked it. Being in the campground, made Tracy and I both realize how much we miss camping at the fair. Within the next few years hopefully we will be back. All of the kids did awesome, of course they love to be outside, so that helps.

The craziness of 4 babies who all want to eat at once, and it had been a very busy day!!

We got our new to us van at the end of June. It is black with orange flames on it. You can't miss us. It works well for what we need, I need to be able to go by myself! Now I can. With the front seat out, I put the stroller in and off we go!! After the kids are all in that is!

Duncan: He went and spent the night at Grandma Mert's with the girls. He had a blast and wants to go back!!

We had the Gruber Reunion at the park, it was lots of fun, fun to see everyone.

We went camping at Saylorville. Gladys and Dennis were nice enough to let us use their camper.

The first night was awful. The kids didn't sleep so neither did Tracy or I. We finally came out about 11:00 am. The kids were fine during the day, that first night was just awful. The second night was better, they slept better, but not great. At least we got some sleep! Even with how bad it was, it made me realize how much I miss camping! Maybe next year we will be able to go more, we will see.

Owen: PT for his neck, his neck muscles were tight. Started baby food, going well.


Elliott: started food, going well. 1st tooth, bottom right.


Olivia: started food, going well, she does not eat as much as the boys, but eats good most of the time. Rolled back to tummy.

6month check up at Dr. Owens, all is good.

We went as a family to Ottumwa for Onie's 25th Anniversary of Priesthood. It was a fun trip except I ended up in the ER due to back pain. Much better after I got adjusted and some muscle relaxers! Poor Tracy didn't have a good Father's Day, we were both very tired!
It is also a riot when we go somewhere, we took a 15 passenger van from Tracy's work and us, mom and the Hawkins all rode together. It was a fun trip!!

Duncan: went to the fishing derby with his Uncle and the girls. He won a kitchen set. He loves it!
He went to Grandma's for awhile one Sunday and the next thing I know I hear him yelling for me to let him in the house. I asked, "where is Grandma?". She's at home. She did not know he had walked home. By the time I got up there she was frantically looking for him.

Me and the kids went to the park for the all school picnic with Hannah. It took 45 minutes to get there! Duncan rode his bike, and we had to stop several times to chat with people in town. It was a much quicker trip home and all of the kids and I were worn out!

Babies had there 4 month check up with Dr. Owens and at the NICU. All is good!
Duncan: he is something else with what he says these days. At mass he loudly announced that his underwear were up his butt, thankfully he was with his Aunt! I had mad a soup he didn't care for and he told me he was not going to eat the poop soup!
Duncan also told me at one point he was glad I was not going with him!!
Duncan was helping me with bottles and I had to run in the other room to check on the babies, he decided he would keep helping and fill the bottles, 1/2 the pitcher all over the counter and floor.. What a mess, but he was just helping. Learned my lesson on leaving Duncan unattended when I am making bottles!
